Growing Parents... Raising Children Welcome to fall and the beginning of Small Group for 2008-2009! Our group meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Scott and Becky Miller's house 303 Beech Street, Hollidaysburg. Our telephone number is 696-1528 and cell number is 931-3096. We begin each gathering at 6:00 with a meal of pizza, salad, drinks and dessert followed by 2 sessions of bible study/sharing time. The men meet for 30 minutes while the women watch our children and then we switch. This is a great time of sharing and fellowship for families! The following is our schedule for the year: September 18 October 2 October 16 November 6 November 20 December 4 December 18 We will not have Bible study this evening. We will eat and then go to Lights on the Lake at Lakemont. January 15 February 19 March 5 March 19 April 2 April 16 May 7 May 21 In addition to our sharing time we plan several outings as a group including: October 11 Fall Festival at Vale Wood Farms December 6Breakfast with Santa at the Ramada Inn TBDSanta Train Ride in Roaring Spring TBDStory hour at Barnes and Noble TBDSled Riding TBDSaturday at the Children's Museum in Altoona TBDTrip to the Pittsburgh Zoo or the Pittsburgh Children's Museum PLEASE JOIN US! |
STARTING POINT is ONE way to get connected in a small group or Spiritual Partnership @ First Church.
Periodically Pastor Brad will announce a STARTING POINT opportunity--Generally
twice each year (in the Fall - when the groups kick-off, & Shortly after
New Years). Starting Point will provide you with THREE OPPORTUNITIES: 1) You will learn the steps you can take to become part of an existing group. 2) You will learn about Spiritual Partners-- how meeting with one friend on a consistent basis can revolutionize your walk with Christ! 3) You will learn how you and a couple of friends/acquaintances can easily start a small group! |
