Small Group Leader Training The most important thing I think you can know about Small Group Leader Training @ First church is that WE HAVE IT! I just think that should encourage you. We don't just say, "Okay, there's your group... go get 'em!" We do a lot of things to support, prepare and equip you for the this AWESOME ministry! Pastor Brad will... sit down with you initially and take you through a training course that will equip you with all the basics you need to get started. gather all the group leaders together at various times throughout the year--sometimes just for 20 minutes on a Sunday morning... sometimes for a morning to share, talk and pour into you fresh insights, vision and passion for small groups ministry. touch base with you on a regular basis by email. You'll receive an email each week--encouraging and equipping you and providing you with an opportunity to touch base with Brad on how things are going... get any questions you have answered, etc. You're not alone in this! As group leaders, we are a team. We support each other. And Pastor Brad will do anything he can to train, equip, support and encourage along the way! So, if you think God may be laying it on your heart to start a group with some friends--definately don't hesitate to contact Brad and talke about it! |

STARTING POINT is ONE way to get connected in a small group or Spiritual Partnership @ First Church.
Periodically Pastor Brad will announce a STARTING POINT opportunity--Generally
twice each year (in the Fall - when the groups kick-off, & Shortly after
New Years). Starting Point will provide you with THREE OPPORTUNITIES: 1) You will learn the steps you can take to become part of an existing group. 2) You will learn about Spiritual Partners-- how meeting with one friend on a consistent basis can revolutionize your walk with Christ! 3) You will learn how you and a couple of friends/acquaintances can easily start a small group! |
