Three spiritual growth steps that we encourage every person at First Church to take...

STEP ONE:
Make a COMMITMENT to Christ and to His Body, the Church.

Choosing to follow Jesus as your Savior & Lord is where spiritual growth begins & God created us to live out our faith in the context of the Body of Christ--so becoming an active member at First Church (or any healthy church) is also part of this first step in your life of faith. STEP TWO:
Get CONNECTED relationally--start or join a small group!

God created us to do life together. He formed us for fellowship and friendships. We crave those things. We long to know and be known, to be encouraged and supported and to do that for others. Jesus said the world would know we are his disciples if we love each other (John 13:34-35). You can't do that in a crowd of people, nor can you do it in isolation -- but only in a smaller group of people--where you have the opportunity to listen to one another and truly do life together. At First Church small groups are all about three things: 1) Developing Christ-Centered Friendships, 2) Growing Spiritually Together, and 3) Caring, Supporting and Shephereding one another. STEP THREE:
CONTRIBUTE to the mission of the church!

What's your thing? What has God gifted you to do? Guaranteed, there is a way for you to use it to further the Kingdom of God. As Christians we're not called to sit around and watch life pass by--we're called to jump in the game and make a contribution--using our time, our talents and our treasures to make a difference! There are all kinds of places you can serve people and help them fall in love with Jesus @ First Church! And if you're serious about growing in Christ--serving others is part of it.
